FAQ
Why invest in professional real estate photography?
It starts with the listing! In an ever-changing world of emerging technology real estate agents need to stay current with the expectations of both home buyers and sellers alike. Ted Dawson - Intuitive Photography will bring your listings to new heights with services including interior/exterior photos as well as aerial photography. Presentation and marketing is everything! How is payment collected?
We accept cash, check (by mail is ok), Venmo, PayPal. Formal Invoices are produced upon request. Outstanding balances are due within 2 weeks of receipt of the final edits. (Many of my long-time clients pay up front to simplify the process)
How much notice is required for booking?
A minimum of 24h notice is required for booking. More commonly arrangements are made 3-7 days prior. Short-term notice is subject to availability.
Where are you located? What area do you service?
I work out of the Montpelier area and service a radius of 30min driving. While I love to travel, I charge $0.54/min to cover expenses after 30min.
Golden hour?
Yes, the best light can be found during golden hour, when the early morning or sunset light is on the home (depending on its orientation). My professional advice is to shoot between 10am and 2pm. This is the most neutral light, we can get a good 360 degree photo op. in these conditions. A request outside the recommended parameters can be accommodated when possible, however, this is a trade-off. We may have excellent light in the front and poor light in the back, or vise-versa. This can also introduce unavoidable glare into the photos. If the photos are unsatisfactory due to poor light as a result of late/early shoot times, a re-shoot fee will apply.
About Me
My father put a camera in my hand as a youngster. I don’t remember precisely when but I feel like it has always been there. I believe that there is merging of man and machine once someone has reached a level of lucidity with an art form. The camera becomes an extension of one’s self. This is what I describe as “intuitive photography,” the ability to shoot based on what I feel, without conscious reasoning. I believe that fundamental photography theory is vitally important but can become a prescriptive model that serves to constrain the art form. My approach to photography is to trust my instincts and capture the spirit of the moment. Tune in.
